Nestled in the heart of the park is the enchanting Santa House, a cozy white cottage that beckons both young and old to experience the magic of Christmas. From November 25th through December 17th, Santa opens his home to visitors every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm, with an additional evening session on December 2nd from 6-7pm during Christmas by the Lake.
The Candy Cane Path
As you approach the Santa House, follow the candy cane path that leads you to the front door. The vibrant red and white stripes create an inviting trail, setting the stage for the festive encounter that awaits inside. The anticipation builds with each step, and soon you’ll find yourself at the doorstep of Santa’s cozy cottage!
Warm Greetings from Mrs. Claus
Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by the warmth of their holiday home. The interior of the cottage is adorned with twinkling lights, holiday decorations, and a crackling fireplace that adds to the cozy atmosphere.

Take a seat on the inviting bench next to Santa Claus as he listens attentively to your Christmas wishes. The flickering firelight creates the perfect backdrop for an encounter with the man in the red suit. As you bid farewell to Santa, you’ll receive a sugary candy cane to sweeten the experience. Exit through the back door, taking one last look at the charming cottage before stepping back into the crisp winter air and beautiful downtown Clear Lake, Iowa.
Visiting Hours
Plan your visit to Clear Lake’s Santa House during the designated hours of 1-4pm every Saturday and Sunday from Thanksgiving Weekend, November 25th through the weekend before Christmas, December 17th. Additionally, enjoy the opportunity to meet Santa after the Christmas by the Lake fireworks from 6-7pm on December 2nd. Plan ahead, because Santa needs to get back to the North Pole to get ready for his Christmas Eve flight! The last day to see Santa is Sunday, December 17th. If you’re unable to visit Santa during his visiting hours, you may leave your wish list in his mailbox by the front door.
