Like a bear emerging from the deep slumber of hibernation during the long winter months, it’s time to wake up! Because we are officially welcoming back our member seasonal businesses who have been dormant in the off season.  Breathing a fresh burst of life into the hustle and bustle of this Midwest Destination, they are like a ray of ope for an upcoming season filled with vitality and prosperity at the Lake.

Plus… it means summer is almost here.

Sun.  Beach days.  Boating.  Patio dining.  And best of all, warm weather.

Finally!!

While Clear Lake boasts a wide variety of winter activity for fun on the frozen oasis, the seasonal businesses listed below thrive solely in the summer months, utilizing our incredible lake, warm temps and the influx of vacationers to make them successful.

With open arms and a whole lot of excitement, we welcome them back to town for the upcoming Season.  We’ve missed you all, oh so very much.

We are beyond thrilled to have you return for another year at the Lake!
  1. PM Park and Tiki Bar – A casual family restaurant that focuses on great food in a fun, historic place.  Serving Breakfast 7am, Lunch and Dinner starting at 11am – 10pm.  You can have all the fun under the glow of the moon at the Tiki Bar.
  2. Muskie Lounge – The Muskie Lounge is a family owned and operated restaurant.. Stop in for fish fry, burgers, sandwiches and more. Or just stop by for a drink on the lake at our outdoor bar, open every weekend of the summer. Come as you are.
  3. Muskie Rentals – Looking for a ontoon, kayak or boat slip rental?  Check us out!
  4. Movement Solutions – We are Clear Lake’s rental company! We rent, pontoon boats, campers, watersports, bicycles, electric scooters and much more!
  5. Lakeside Landing – The Landing is a large lake front bar and grille, with perfect views of Clear Lake, Iowa. We have a large dock where you can conveniently tie up your boat during the day or evening to stop by for food or drinks.
  6. Clear Lake Boats Marina – The only full-service marina located on the shore of Clear Lake. as well as a Pro Shop offering your favorite brands of clothing, water skis, tubes, wakeboards, and other water toys. The Marina also offers PWC and pontoon rentals and a refueling dock that is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, all season long.
  7. Freedom Boat Club of Northern Iowa (Lake Time Boat Club) – Boating made easy for everyone. A club designed to create hassle-free recreational boating for its members.
  8. Lady of the Lake – One of the great treasured gems of Clear Lake, this authentic paddle-wheel excursion boat is docked at the seawall near City Park, offering 90-minute cruises to the public and so much more!
  9. Central Gardens – A beautiful public garden located on 2.75 acres near downtown Clear Lake, Iowa. Free and open daily May 1 through October 31, dawn to dusk. Meeting space available for rent year-round for corporate meetings, family gatherings, and more. Come and enjoy!
  10. Fire Museum – Explore the history of firefighting! This unique building located across from the fire station is full of antiques, photos, history and so much more. It’s a definite ‘must see’ for people of all ages!
  11. Kinney Pioneer Museum – Take a step back in time and experience life on the Iowa frontier through vintage exhibits & living history. Explore the pioneer village featuring a one-room schoolhouse, log cabin, jail, and blacksmith shop and more. Open to the public May-September.
  12. Veteran’s Memorial Golf Club – A 9-hole, par 36 course recognized both regionally and nationally as one of the finest public courses in Iowa.
  13. Lake Dream Marine – Loated in Ventura, their vision is to provide outdoor enthusiasts a chance to have their own space on Clear Lake!
  14. Lake Life Rentals – Open Memorial Day through Labor Day.  This is the place for Jeep Wrangler, Golf Car and Electric Bike Rentals!  Check them out on the corner of 8th & Main.
  15. The Surfside – Located on North Shore Drive, this American restaraunt offers flavorful, beautifully-plated dishes in a unique upscale island atmosphere.
  16. DNR Aquarium – Open from April to October each year.  They have information on all the various species found in Clear Lake and how they manage the fish population.  You can even see some of the live fish up close and personal.

Whew!  That’s a whole lot of seasonal businesses gearing up for a fun, exciting summer at the Lake!

And don’t forget these awesome campgrounds.  They are excited to welcome back campers for another summer of sleeping under the stars, s’mores, and all the laketime fun!

  1.  Hidden Lakes Resort – Tucked into a wooded area just a few blocks from downtown Clear Lake, this campground offers SO much more than a place to camp.  Check them out!
  2. Oakwood RV Park – They are a privately owned RV Park that caters to individuals looking for an upscale camping experience.
