Krystal Thoe is the Regional Director of Assisted Living Operations for Iowa with Legacy Healthcare. She joined ABCM in 2017 and brings more than 18 years of healthcare leadership experience across senior living and post-acute care. Krystal is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and has held senior operational leadership roles supporting multiple facilities in North Iowa, including Lake Mills Care Center in Lake Mills, Iowa (a licensed 78-bed skilled nursing facility) and Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake, Iowa (a licensed 90-bed skilled nursing facility).
Prior to joining ABCM—now Legacy Healthcare following the 2024 acquisition—Krystal worked with MercyOne North Iowa. She has specialized education and training in geriatrics, healthcare leadership, Lean principles and methodology, person-centered care, dementia care, enterprise budgeting and operations, and healthcare marketing.
Krystal is passionate about the older adults she serves and considers it a privilege to support teams that deliver safe, dignified, and meaningful care. She lives in Ventura, Iowa, with her husband Steven and their daughter Eva, while their son Edan is currently attending college. As a family, they enjoy Iowa summers at the lake and can often be found on the water in the evenings and on weekends.
