The Surf Ballroom is thrilled to announce the return of Liverpool Legends for an evening celebrating the beloved music of The Beatles. After seventeen years, the band returns to Clear Lake, IA to deliver an authentic Beatles experience that has captivated audiences worldwide. Hand-picked by Louise Harrison, sister of the late George Harrison of The Beatles, Liverpool Legends is the only Beatles tribute band with a direct family connection to the original Fab Four. “Each member of the group is so close to the originals that I often feel like I’m transported back in time with the lads,” says Harrison. “These are exactly the kind of fun-loving, quality musicians that my brother George would have loved to hang out with.” Since forming, Liverpool Legends has achieved international acclaim, performing sold-out shows across the world. Their performances have wowed crowds at prestigious venues, including the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, and the world-famous Carnegie Hall in New York City. The band even re-created The Beatles’ iconic 1966 concert at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, earning national recognition. The Surf is excited to bring this one-of-a-kind Beatles experience back to our stage. Their authenticity and connection to the original band is unmatched. In their illustrious career, they have directly opened, toured, and played shows with Ziggy Marley, Bad Religion, Sublime with Rome, Slightly Stoopid, The English Beat, The Wailers, The Dirty Heads, Billy Strings, PASSAFIRE, Barrington Levy, The Itals, The Aggrolites, Iration, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gin Blossoms, Trampled by Turtles, Chris Krueze, Horseshoes & Handgrenades … and many more.
