Exhibition: It’s All About Balance by Joan Webster-Vore
Joan Webster-Vore produces mixed media work in response to the natural environment in which we live, the illusive shadows, movements, and changes, the search for balance. The universe, the political and sociological environment, the air, land and water, our humanity, all need balance to survive and thrive.
Exhibition is on display until July 5

Youth Entrepreneurial Academy
The Youth Entrepreneurial Academy is a unique, one-week summer camp opportunity for motivated high school students. Thanks to generous financial support from the John K. and Luise V. Hanson Foundation, the Youth Entrepreneurial Academy is completely free for North Iowa high school students to attend. At YEA, students have the opportunity to learn and practice the entrepreneurial mindset. Students will learn how their unique interests, skills, and strengths can be developed and applied to create their own personal path to success. Students will also have the opportunity to network with local entrepreneurs, tour local businesses, develop leadership skills, meet like-minded peers, create solutions to real-world problems, and gain fundamental entrepreneurship skills like finance, marketing, and communication. Every participant will receive an automatic $500 scholarship to NIACC upon completing the program. Students will receive gas cards to pay for the week’s travel from their homes or may choose to stay in chaperoned student housing on campus. YEA concludes with an exciting pitch competition on June 23, 2025, where students will present their business ideas in front of a panel of judges.

NOW PLAYING: How to Train Your Dragon (PG-13)
From three-time Oscar® nominee and Golden Globe winner Dean DeBlois, the creative visionary behind DreamWorks Animation’s acclaimed How to Train Your Dragon trilogy, comes a stunning live-action reimagining of the film that launched the beloved franchise. On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup (Mason Thames; The Black Phone, For All Mankind) stands apart. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, reprising his voice role from the animated franchise), Hiccup defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society. With the fierce and ambitious Astrid (BAFTA nominee Nico Parker; Dumbo, The Last of Us) and the village’s quirky blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost; Snow White and the Huntsman, Shaun of the Dead) by his side, Hiccup confronts a world torn by fear and misunderstanding. As an ancient threat emerges, endangering both Vikings and dragons, Hiccup’s friendship with Toothless becomes the key to forging a new future. Together, they must navigate the delicate path toward peace, soaring beyond the boundaries of their worlds and redefining what it means to be a hero and a leader. The film also stars Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), Gabriel Howell (Bodies), Bronwyn James (Wicked), Harry Trevaldwyn (Smothered), Ruth Codd (The Midnight Club), BAFTA nominee Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Murray McArthur (Game of Thrones).

The Master Class will be led by Jim Wysocki, a longtime friend and neighbor of Les Paul. Wysocki will share personal stories and professional insights into Les Paul’s remarkable journey, while offering a hands-on exploration of historic instruments and artifacts from his private collection. Highlights of the event include interactive access to: Original “Log” guitar prototypes Les Paulverizer (early multi-track looping device) Rare Les Paul-owned guitars and amplifiers The actual railroad track Les used to test sound theories Additional personal items and innovations Unlike a traditional lecture, this program invites attendees to step directly into Les Paul’s legacy.
