Odd title, right?

The reason I’m channeling my inner vibes this week is because I’m actually writing this on Thursday!  Honestly, it feels like I’m cheating just a bit.  I’ve written this piece on Friday morning for more than a year now, so to be doing it a day early feels super strange!

I’m writing it early, however, because Friday morning will be a whirlwind blur of getting ready for the ultimate day of fun at the Chamber’s annual Golf FUNdraiser!

As I’m officially a Chamber Member now, I thought it would be interesting to throw together a misfit team of average joes to tackle Veteran’s Memorials Golf Course and see if we can lose a few golf balls in the process.

Be on the lookout on our Facebook Page for photos and lists of winners!

This week at the Lake, our excitement bucket was filled to the brim over all the new ventures opening their doors and on the horizon.

173 Craft Distillery had their groundbreaking, initializing a full renovation for their new location at 306 First Ave North.  According to a recent article in the Globe Gazette, this exciting new business venture will feature “exclusive cocktails, with a heavy emphasis on rum-based drinks, like mojitos and dark and stormies, appetizers and a rooftop deck overlooking the lake.”

While they begin the process of demolition and transformation of their facility, the folks going into the old Thrift White building over on Main have been working, working and then working some more to get their doors open this week.

Two new boutiques, Nash & Ivy and White Barn Picket Fence had soft openings this week, testing the waters of our community, giving workers a chance to practice their retail skills as they put the finishing touching on setting up their new space.  I have not been in either store yet, but I did a bit of Facebook stalking on each one, and both look inviting, beautiful, and loaded with incredible items to purchase!

What a welcomed addition to Clear Lake!

The final bit of excitement is that Harvest Festival tasting passes officially went on sale this week.  And ladies… they are literally flying off the shelves (or, more so, flying through internet land via Eventbrite!).

Still, you catch my drift.

Now, it’s not public knowledge what each recipient of the souvenir bag will receive, but I did just a tad bit of spying while I was in the Chamber office the other day and it’s going to be AMAZING!!!!

Totally stuff y’all will actually use and still ‘splurgy’ and fun at the same time.

And yes, ‘splurgy’ is an actual word.  It means given to or characterized by ostentatious display or extravagance… which is totes magotes how I would describe a day of fun at Harvest Festival.

You only live once, am I right ladies?  Time to have the ultimate ‘splurgy’ day of fun buying all the things and drinking all the wine.

To get your tasting pass and souvenir bag, simply CLICK ON THIS LINK to purchase!

Have a GREAT weekend at the Lake, my friends.  The CLASS car cruise and show is in town, the Whitesidewalls are at the Surf Friday night, and the Lions Hamburger and Sweet Corn feed is on Sunday.

The trifecta of perfection for an incredible weekend at the Lake!
