Clear Lake Invites Community Input for Downtown Assessment
CLEAR LAKE, IOWA — Clear Lake has been selected for a Downtown Assessment through the Iowa Downtown Resource Center, a division of the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA). The assessment team will be in Clear Lake from September 9–11, 2025, conducting interviews, touring the community, and identifying opportunities for improving downtown Clear Lake.
As part of this process, community members are invited to share their input during an Open Community Session on Tuesday, September 9, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at the Lakeview Room (10 N. Lakeview Dr.). The session is informal and come-and-go in style. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a resident, business owner, or simply someone who cares about downtown Clear Lake.
In addition, the public is encouraged to attend a Downtown Assessment Presentation on Thursday, September 11, at 12:00 PM at the Lakeview Room. The assessment team will present their initial findings and share early recommendations for future improvements.
