It’s definitely not our first rodeo hosting the epic holiday celebration, Christmas by the Lake! After the Festival of Trees kicks off a weekend of family fun, you can expect all your favorite activities to be back by popular demand.
Dicken’s characters will stroll the streets. There will be a multitude of chances for family fun with horse-drawn carriage ride, or maybe you’ll visit Santa’s house in City Park. Don’t forget about the lighted parade followed by fireworks over the lake! Its beauty and wonder all wrapped up in one!
If the cold weather starts to infiltrate your bones, never fear, because Farmer’s State Bank will warm you up with complimentary popcorn and hot chocolate from 2-4:30pm! Oh… and if you bring a non-perishable food item to donate, you can see a matinee of Smallfoot at Lake Theatre at 11AM FOR FREE both Saturday and Sunday!!!
However, you MUST bring a food item to donate – or no movie for you! Sorry, but rules are rules and the Lake Theatre is being abundantly generous and kind in this act. Be a gem and don’t ruin it by just walking in with no donation.

But what you may notice as a new, added bonus this year is something that’s never been done in Clear Lake before. Inspired by Ashley & Shea Coleman (owners of Be Wellness/Simply Nourished) during their worldly travels, there will be an outdoor holiday market along N 3rd Street. This European-style market will be reminiscent of the sights, sounds and smells you’d experience overseas… but with its own local flair.
This unique Christmas Market will be open from 11-3 and will feature lunch options, mulled cider and wine, and an assortment of exceptional gifts, candies and baked goods.
