A Note from Dan Nichols, Chamber Board Chair

When the wheels of the World as we know it came to a screeching halt, it was the Clear Lake Chamber who stepped up to the plate.  Their innovation and dedication to the continuity of our local economy lit a fire within us, and that fire is still burning today.

It’s fitting, then, that today we celebrate National Support your Local Chamber of Commerce day.  Celebrated annually on the third Wednesday of October, it’s a day to say thanks to an organization who strives to support local business.  It was designed to remind us that local Chambers create a stronger community.  They do this by hosting networking events that aim to deepen professional relationships.  They promote local services and advocate for our business community.

In Clear Lake, however, our Chamber plays another important role, and that is in the planning and execution of our signature events.  Being a tourist-driven community, our businesses rely on dollars spent by our visitors each year.  Even in the face of adversity, the Chamber Staff has kept their focus on their mission, which is to promote area businesses and strive for economic success in our region.

As the season of thanks is fast approaching, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Clear Lake community, both residents and businesses, for their recent support of our local Chamber of Commerce.  After a tumultuous year filled with cancellations and alterations of our favorite events, it’s nice to have such incredible community encouragement.

The ALL-IN Clear Lake campaign was a huge success, and we are forever grateful to each business and individual on the list below who donated.  Your generosity and commitment to the Chamber organization has not gone unnoticed, and for that, as Chairman of the Board, I offer my heartfelt thanks to each of you.
