I love to write about Clear Lake. Words flow easily when the topic is as awesome as our beautiful lake town. Always fun activities and events going on; summer, winter, spring and fall. Clear Lake really does have it all.
But I wouldn’t call myself Clear Lake’s greatest cheerleader. Not even close. That title is held by none other than the super-fabulous Libbey Hohn. Being the Tourism Director of our quaint little slice of Heaven for the past TEN YEARS. Libbey not only does everything she can to promote Clear Lake in our region, but she advocates and collaborates with the Chamber and its members to ensure Clear Lake is the very best it can be for visitors and locals!
For the past six years, she’s been the key force behind our Award-Winning Visitor’s Guide, “Destination: Clear Lake.” Libbey’s collaboration with travel networks and bloggers, coupled with the ability to think outside the box, has garnered buzz for Clear Lake beyond the boundaries of our Midwest partners. In a nutshell, her insight and ability to attract, assist and inspire travelers to come to Clear Lake is second to none.
This year alone, her honors include:
** Travel Iowa’s Outstanding Marketing Collaboration for Building Community Conference
**Tourism Partner of the Year by Midwest Travel Network
Not to mention the stack of other awards she’s received over the years!
Please help me, along with our Chamber Team, to congratulate Libbey for ten AMAZING years of cheering on Clear Lake front and center. Thank you for your dedication to making Clear Lake the fantastic place it us to live, work and play.
