First Mates

I’m Vernon Johnson aka VJ. My wife and I have been Clear Lake residents since 2005, moving from Des Moines. We have three daughters who love the friendships, activities, and opportunities they’ve experienced. I work at CL Tel as the marketing manager. I volunteer as a girls’ basketball and track (hurdles) coach and a “cheerleader” for the volleyball team. I’m on the Central Gardens of North Iowa and Clear Lake Athletics & Wellness Center boards. In my free time, I’m walking, sipping Cabin Coffee Bellringers, and aggressively waiting for the ISU Cyclones to win a National Championship.
