Kym Barrett stays active in the Clear Lake community through the Clear Lake Area Quilters, Central Gardens, Clear Lake Garden Club, an investment club, and the Surf Ballroom. She has been involved with First Mates since moving to Clear Lake 20 years ago.
Before relocating, Kym lived in Boone, where she spent 28 years working as a pharmacy technician for the State of Iowa. She also managed a business park and student rental housing in Ames.
Kym has four grown children and seven grandchildren. In her free time, you’ll most likely find her outdoors or quilting.
