The pathway to success is rarely a straight shot to the finish line.  Instead, it’s similar to a winding country road, full of challenges and obstacles as you travel along its path.  Getting to the top, reaching that glorified goal of “success” is something many people spend their entire life trying to obtain.

But what is success, really?  People often equate success with financial security.  An image immediately pops into my mind of a sharp-dressed man or woman standing atop a giant mountain of money.

Except, does that really mean you’re successful?  If you only equate success with becoming wealthy, you may be setting yourself up for failure.  I mean maybe that person had a super-rich relative and they were the sole heir.  And maybe instead of working hard to achieve their goals and dreams each day they binge on Netflix in their underwear while eating cereal?

Hmmm…  that’s a mildy disturbing image.

What I’m trying to point out is that success can be and is measured in many different ways.  I, personally, consider my day a success if I cross off everything on my list, while others may not deem that successful at all.

I encourage you to have wild dreams.  Think big.  Go for the gold.

But set realistic goals in order to achieve that dream.  One step at a time, exude every effort and never give up.  You have the ability to obtain the ultimate success.

Now… are you willing to work for it?

If you’re interested in hearing the success stories of local individuals, I highly recommend attending the Clear Lake Pathway to Success event.  Located at the Best Western on Tuesday October 31st from 11:45am to 1pm, the in-depth panel discussion might be just what you need to jump-start your own personal success story.
