Charting the Next Chapter for Clear Lake
For 82 years, the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce has been an anchor in the community. Our mission has always been clear: to be the champion for business success and quality of life, creating a thriving destination and driving community prosperity. And Clear Lake is thriving.
As we look to the future, we are excited to announce the construction of an expanded Chamber of Commerce building designed to be the center for commerce and connection. It will be Clear Lake’s front door, truly reflecting who we are as a community.
This project is more than an expansion, it’s about amplifying our impact. The space will allow us to better welcome visitors, attract new residents, and engage businesses and developers looking to invest and grow in Clear Lake. It will feature a welcome center, showcasing Clear Lake and its businesses, facilities for businesses to collaborate, including a state-of-the-art meeting room and flexible workspaces, and an area for the Chamber team to streamline event execution.
While our current facility has served us well, to continue growing we need a space that matches our vision for the future and helps us build on decades of accomplishments.

The Clear Case For Growth
Clear Lake is flourishing. As a top Midwest travel destination and with upcoming improvements in the Surf District, the Chamber’s role in supporting economic vitality and community prosperity is more important than ever. Our prime location near City Park serves is the center for our vital events and a hub for tourists. Yet, we’ve clearly outgrown our space.
Here’s why an expansion is not just beneficial but essential:
Welcoming Visitor Center
Our current visitor center doesn’t capture Clear Lake’s charm and can only fit 2-3 people at a time. A larger, welcoming space ensures visitors feel the warmth of Clear Lake’s hospitality without the wait.
State-of-the-art Meeting Room
Business doesn’t stop, and neither do we. A spacious meeting room, fitted with the latest technology is imperative for business collaboration, discussion, and training.
A Modern Image
Our new structure will reflect the vibrancy of Clear Lake and offer improved visibility for area businesses.
Space for Growth
Our current facility limits our potential. Storing supplies off-site, an undersized boardroom, and staff improvising with spaces like the copy room highlight our need for a facility that accommodates our growing ambitions.
Event Excellence
With 17 major annual events, a dedicated event space and onsite storage are essential. This not only elevates our current events but also allows room for more, showcasing Clear Lake even better.
Accessible to All
Everyone should access our offerings with ease. From enhanced entrances to wider hallways, an elevator and modern restrooms, our new space is designed for all.
While this project will nearly triple our physical space, the expansion is more than just bricks and mortar; it’s a reflection of our commitment to Clear Lake’s promising future.
