Cards & Creativity meets every Thursday that the library is open at 1:00 p.m. This is a weekly opportunity to meet up with others to play games or engage in your creative outlet of choice. You can work on fiber art, writing, music, drawing, or anything else that inspires you! We’ll provide coloring supplies and cards for you to use!

Pastel Seasons: Recent Pastels Portraying the Midwest by Tom Christopher Opening Reception
Celebrate the vibrant pastel paintings of Tom Christopher. This exhibit highlights Christopher’s beautiful approach to working with pastels of various landscapes depicting different seasons shown throughout the Midwest. The Pastel Seasons exhibit will be on display until December 20th.

Live Music at TAP’d
We got a couple Cali Boys making their way back to TAP’d! The Schoon Brothers, originally from Manson, Iowa, have been to California and back on their music journey! They’ll be playing us all the country and rock from the 90s and 2000s! Some artists they’ll cover during this 5 hour show are Third Eye Blind, Post Malone and Luke Combs! Showtime is 8pm!

Rotary 5K Scholarship Run
Get Ready to Run for a Cause! We are excited to announce that we are partnering with the Clear Lake Athletics & Wellness Center to host a fundraiser to support our scholarship fund. The Clear Lake Rotary Club is committed to supporting the bright and deserving students in our community through our scholarship fund. In alignment with our core mission to foster educational opportunities and community growth, we are excited to announce our 1st Annual 5k run/walk event, aimed at raising funds to expand our scholarship offerings. Participants of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join us for a morning of fun & fitness on Saturday, November 2nd at the Clear Lake Athletic & Wellness Center.
Registration fees will increase to $30 after October 16th and a race shirt is not guaranteed. Packet pick-up and same day registration will open at 8 AM on race day with the run/walk beginning at 9 AM on the “gray oval” inside the Wellness Center. We invite everyone to be a part of this meaningful event and to help us make a positive impact on the lives of our local students. Your support will ensure that more deserving young individuals have the opportunity to achieve their academic and career goals.

Mystery Book Club: Dangerous Illusions
The Mystery Book Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm in the library. November’s selection is Dangerous Illusions by Irene Hannon. Summary: Trish Bailey is on overload trying to deal with a demanding job, an ailing mother, and a healing heart. When a series of unsettling memory lapses leads to a tragic death–and puts Trish under police scrutiny–her world is once again thrown into turmoil. Detective Colin Flynn isn’t certain what to think of the facts he uncovers during his investigation. Did Trish simply make a terrible mistake or is there more to the case than meets the eye? As he searches for answers, disturbing information begins to emerge–and if the forces at work are as evil as he suspects, the situation isn’t just dangerous . . . it’s deadly.
