Exhibition: Iowa Justice, Iowa Earth the Paintings of Madai Taylor
What if the land could speak about injustice? Madai Taylor’s series, When the Earth Cries uses abstraction, soil pigments from different regions, and layered natural materials to reveal the connection between people, places, and the intertwined realities of environmental and racial inequality. These textured surfaces evoke both wounded landscapes and human skin, inviting viewers to feel these hidden truths with beauty and force. Exhibition is in collaboration with the Iowa Environmental Council and Drake University Community Press.
