Clear Lake State Park

Clear Lake State Park boasts one of the most sought-after campgrounds in Iowa. With modern amenities including restrooms, shower facilities, and a trailer dump station, camping here is a breeze. With 10 acres of picnic grounds with tables, playground equipment and a popular 900 foot stretch of sandy beach, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the sunshine! Click here for reservations.

Park Facility Status : The campground is open May 1, 2024. The East shower building, dump stations, fill stations, and full hook up hydrants will be operational on May 1. The West shower building will open at a later date. Also please note that golf carts, atv’s and utv’s are strictly prohibited in the Iowa State Parks. Electric toys like razors, scooters, kids vehicles, etc. are not permitted to operate on the state park roads.
2025 Lodge Closure: The Clear Lake State Park Lodge is open for the 2024 rec season and is reservable May 1 through September 30. The Lodge will be closed during the 2025 rec season for repairs.
Campground Operations: Effective April 26, 2024, campsites 1 – 115 are 100 percent reservable and accepts reservations May 1 – July 31, 2024, until 10 pm CST the day of arrival.
2024 Campground Availability: Campsites 1 – 115 (except 49, 50, 66, 67 will remain closed) are accepting reservations through July 31, 2024. Starting around August 1 the entire campground will be closed for the campground renovation. (Posted April 25, 2024)
