Ice-fishing on Clear Lake will be featured on the debut episode of Fishing the Midwest television show on the weekend of December 5th and 6th in markets across the Midwest.  Bob Jensen, co-host of Fishing the Midwest ON ICE, fished with Clear Lake fishing guides Kevan Paul and Chris Scholl in February.

Bob Jensen recently commented, “Clear Lake has become one of the Midwest’s premier fisheries for open water and ice-fishing.  It has outstanding populations of walleyes, crappies, muskies, catfish, and yellow bass.  I think though, it’s the yellow bass that bring anglers to Clear Lake in the winter.  The action can be non-stop, and yellow bass are wonderful on the table.  Beginner or expert ice-anglers will enjoy fishing on Clear Lake during any season”.

Jensen continued, “Kevan and Chris are truly outstanding anglers and guides.  They do all they can to put their guests on fish, but they also explain what they’re doing and why they’re doing it.  After a day on the ice with Chris and Kevan, you’ll come away a better ice-angler”.

Fishing the Midwest ON ICE is presented by Bob Jensen and Mike Frisch and is an extension of the popular and long-running Fishing the Midwest television series, an award-winning television series that features Midwest fishing hotspots and techniques. The theme of each episode is that Midwest anglers don’t need to travel long distances to experience outstanding fishing success.  Each show reveals Midwest fishing locations and the techniques that will enable anglers to experience fishing success at those locations.  Fishing the Midwest ON ICE will air for four(4) weekends in December.  At the conclusion of those four(4) weeks, Fishing the Midwest will air for thirteen(13) weeks.
