Party on the beach Labor Day Weekend at BeachFest!
Throw on your beachy clothes and bring the family down to Clear Lake City Beach for a day of fun! Show off your freestyle sand sculpture skills on one of the US’s Great American Beaches or sign up for the speed bean bag tournament as you chill on the beach with friends and family. Another fun competition is the “Whatever Floats Your Boat” recycled boat race on the lake, see which boats make it to the end without falling apart!
The Beach committee has added a new Volleyball tournament which will start at 10am. Teams of 6 compete for cash on the lush grass by the Yacht Club.
Since it isn’t a party with out some rockin’ tunes, Spenser Rahm will play acoustic rock on the beach stage from 4-6pm, and DJ Jared Allen takes over from 6-8pm. Beachy tunes will be played throughout the day while you play on the beach.
During the event, be sure to get your raffle tickets for the Treasure Hunt! Ten lucky winners will dig for 10 big prizes, including a sightseeing flight around Clear Lake from NI Air Service, Year ‘Round Dine Around, a 2 hour pontoon rental from Clear Lake Boats, plus more!
The Clear Lake Police Department’s Benevolence Association will be grilling your favorites so you won’t go hungry. Pack a cooler and take it easy!
After you watch an amazing sunset, head across the street to City Park and watch a free movie under the stars. Cuddle up and watch Nicholas Spark’s Safe Haven starting at 8pm.
