Now Hiring - Communications Coordinator
Scope of Work: To coordinate messaging and materials that align with the content plans focused on Tourism, Membership, Advocacy, and Business Resources and deliver those messages to the public, membership, and media.
Position is part-time, an average of 10-15 hours/week. Candidate will be able to work virtually but required to participate in weekly staff meetings (whether in person or via phone), and be present at some special events requiring social media coverage.
Electronic Communications: Create and send weekly tourism email (and others as assigned), ascertain their effectiveness utilizing analytics, and enhance the positive impact of our organizations integrated communications by maintaining updated & segmented contact lists.
Website/App: Updating website & mobile app regularly with direction from the content plan.
Content: Creating and or editing content from the content plan as assigned.
Annual Report: Create annual report as assigned with direction from President/CEO & Tourism Director.
Social Media: Execute the Chamber’s social media plan by creating and scheduling posts in accordance to the content plan. Provide scheduled and real-time social media support to special events and other chamber services activities as assigned.
Design: Create graphics for social media and web. Also create forms and flyers as needed for Chamber programming.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing skills, experience with Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram, knowledge of WordPress, experience with Constant Contact, experience working with a content calendar, and possess design skills and photo/video editing skills.
