Lake Theater
4 N. 4th Street
641-357-2414

The historic Lake Theater has been a downtown institution since its start as an Opera House in the 1890s.  It was damaged by a fire in the 1920’s and reopened as a movie theater in 1936.  In 2012 the theater went digital, and also upgraded their sound system.  Owned by the Sherman family since the late 1970’s, the theater continues to show the latest films at a great price.

Showtimes are generally 7PM nightly Friday-Thursday, afternoon matinees Saturday & Sunday at 1:30pm, and occasionally late showings on Saturdays at 9pm. Call for current showings or like them on Facebook.  The theater is also available for special events.
