The Gables
Burgundy Cabin: All the walls are covered in a natural colored pine bead board, it is not dark, but its all wood, the floors in the bathroom and kitchen are new tile, the living room has the original wood floor, it needs to be redone because the last owners painted without protection and it needs freshening. The 2 bedrooms are; one loft bedroom that overlooks the living room and looks out through the arched window, the other bedroom is small and has only a single bed in it, it’s located next to the bathroom. Be prepared, the cabin has no closets, bring clothes that like being folded. The one bath has just a shower, new floor and fixtures. Just one TV with Cable, small stereo, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and fully-equipped kitchen, you also have a ceiling fan in the living room on the vaulted ceiling, furnace, central air conditioning and charcoal grill. We provide about 10 towels, washcloths and a couple hand towels so if you want to pack more…. I always suggest bringing coffee and filters for your stay and aluminum foil is handy. Your bed linens are provided; you do not have maid service. No smoking, no pets. The weekly rental begins Friday 4:00 p.m. with check-in to Friday 10:00 a.m. check-out. Our rental rate is $600 per week with a $100 cleaning deposit. There is an additional charge for extra guests over 6. When you leave the cabin, we do not expect the unit to be spotless but in good shape in order to have the cleaning deposit returned. The lot is shaded, there is a shallow deck out the sliding door and a patio area in the rear yard, there is room for two cars and a boat in the driveway, we have boat parking across the street but still in site. We prefer no fires in the sparse shaded grass and that vehicles stay in the driveway. Just remember it’s a lake cabin and not the Ritz-Carlton. We do require a 50% deposit to hold your reservation. Apartments: The apartments are air-conditioned with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath completely furnished with limited lake views. The walls are covered in knotty pine and really take you back to the old lake cabin feel. There is 1 queen bed, 1 full bed and a sofa or a rollaway is available. The bedrooms and the living room area are carpeted with new flooring in the bathroom and kitchenette also. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, pans, and utensils. Bed linens are provided for you but you bring your own towels; you do not have maid service. There is also TV with cable. There is a large common patio with two grills and outdoor furniture with views of the lake. The units are non smoking and no pets are allowed. Weekly rentals start Friday with a 4:00 p.m. check-in to Friday with a 10:00 a.m. check-out. Our rates are $500 per week with a $100 cleaning deposit. We also have a three day/two night rental $275/weekend. When you leave the apartment, we do not expect the unit to be spotless but in good shape in order to have the cleaning deposit returned. There is an additional charge for extra guests over 6. We do require a 50% deposit to hold your reservation. Upper Level Hotel Rooms: The rooms are air-conditioned with knotty pine walls. Each room has 1 full size bed and bath (the bathroom is right in the room, just a shower curtain for privacy) some of the rooms have lake views. We are non smoking, and we do not allow pets. Our nightly rental rate is $50 for two guests with a check-in after 2pm and check-out by noon. There is a common deck that overlooks the lake and park. We collect your credit card information to hold your reservation. Ground Floor Hotel Rooms: We have three newly remodeled rooms. They are ground level each room is equipped with a plush queen bed, Cable TV, floorings are carpet and marble, private bathroom with a large walk in shower. The rooms are climate controlled with additional air conditioning available. One of the rooms is completely handicap accessible. Our nightly rental rate is $100-150 for two guests with a check-in after 2pm and check-out by noon. There is a common patio area that overlooks the lake and park. We collect your credit card information to hold your reservation. Additional Features: We have one of the only 3 natural sand beaches on Clear Lake. We are also the largest privately owned property on the lake. We do not accept pets even though we have several ourselves; we have since found out that guests with allergies pick up on the presence of pets long after they are gone. We were built in 1914 and we are Summer Camp & Dirty dancing and stepping back in history all rolled into one. We have a dock at PM Park for our dining and Tiki bar customers and you can tie up on it, if you plan on leaving it there for over 3 hours we would appreciate a cell phone number to contact you if the weather would change. We have a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and light evening meals 7 days a week. We added a Tiki Bar to our list of services in 2007, now you can relax with a cool refreshing beverage, watch the sunset and the kids can swim in the lake, run crazy and play on the new Pirate Ship at the same time. The cottages all have kitchens & baths, and furnish dishes, coffee pot, toaster, silverware, pots & pans, satellite tv, grills, etc. Guests need to bring their own linens (sheets & towels) and whatever else is needed for a relaxing time at the lake.
